Rodrigo Santoro

So totally hot! Really made my day. Hugh Grant is so last century. ;)

Trus nonton dia juga di 300. Huaaaa... Sadis! Scalding hot! Jadi si Raja Persia jahat. Ceritanya badannya guede banget, raksasa gitulah. Dan piercing dimana-mana. And barely clothed. Biarpun jahat, gue tetep nafsu dwueeh. Wkwkwkwkwkwk. Mr Santoro, would you be my King? Ahaaayy...

Dan kemarin gue liat dia di Post Grad, in a role so totally different from that Persian King. And I loved it! Some kind of mellow clip director. That glasses made him look intelligent, sad, and hot. Dammit! I can't stop using the word 'hot'! Like I said, I'd do him anytime. I might even let you impregnate me, Rodrigo Babe. Mwaaa...

Post Grad

I watched Post Grad. And there's my long lost Rodrigo Santoro. Damn, he's hot! Well, since this is my post about the movie, I guess I'll tell about the man in another posting. Tee hee.
Right, Post Grad, a movie about a young woman who just graduated from college and is about to conquer the world. Or so she thought. She had her whole life planned since early in life. Get good grades, in turn get full scholarship, then graduated and get a job in a top publishing company. This young woman, Ryden (Alexis Bledel), has a weird family. A do-it-yourself father (Michael Keaton), a stingy mom (Mrs Lynch, you know, that bitch teacher in Glee), an outrageous grandma (Carroll Burnett), and love-to-lick-other-people's-head little brother. She also has a male best friend who is totally in love with her and willing to do anything for her. Kinda Dawson-Creeky, I know. But I can't help liking this movie.
Everything in the movie is cliche. An American life. Kinda Legally-Blondish, but well, she's brunette. Oh, oh, oh! I almost forgot. There's this hot neighbour, a Brazilian infomercial director. He's 34, and almost slept with Ryden. They're on it, but her family intrude. Hahaa. Talk about bad timing! LOL.
A light movie, some comedy, some food for thoughts from unexpected persons, and you get a good pastime. Oh, and don't forget! There's Rodrigo Santoro! Oh my beloved Almighty! I'd do him right now if he's here. Shyte!!

Hey - Fatima Rainey

HEY - Fatima Rainey

You shouldn't hesitate 'bout
my feelings for you
i've proven so many times in
different ways for you
i hope somewhere deep inside
you know that i love you
coz whenever you go walking my way

Chorus:
i say hey, hey
i love you till the morning comes, ooh
i say hey, hey
i'll kiss you in the morning sun

Now is not the right time to get serious
(now is not the right time
now is not the right time, baby)
i don't wanna seem mysterious
(just give me time,
in time i'll be forever set myself on you)
but whenever you come walking my way

Chorus:
i say hey, hey
i love you till the morning comes, ooh
i say hey, hey
i'll kiss you in the morning sun
* pa ra pap....

Love you more than words can say
love you more in every way
the love we share is oh...so strong
i know that we both belong
but whenever you come walking my way

Chorus:
i say hey, hey
i love you till the morning comes, ooh
i say hey, hey
i'll kiss you in the morning sun
* pa ra pap....

Bridge:
coz whenever you come walking (walking)
my way (my way) my way
i say...

Chorus:
i say hey, hey
i love you till the morning comes, ooh
i say hey, hey
i'll kiss you in the morning sun
(repeat until fade)

Inglourious Basterds

This one is a krazy movie. No wonder as Quentin Tarantino was the director. One really weird guy. I don't want to tell you the plot. But there's a scene that I like most. he scene where the Basterds had to disguise as Italians. Wkwkwkwk... Watch that one scene! Krazy aje dah!

Vicky Cristina Barcelona

Hari yang gak begitu sibuk. Jadi gue bisa nonton DVD di kantor. Hehee... Nonton Vicky Cristina Barcelona, which is by Woody Allen. I watched few of his movies, and it all starred by Scarlett Johansson. All have unusual themes. And I could connect with the characters. But I especially can connect with Johansson's role in VCB. Sometime, I'd like to think that I'm kinda like her. Hehee...

Rencananya mereka bakalan spend the whole summer in Barcelona. There, they stayed at Vicky's relative's house. Sementara Cristina is more free spirited, she doesn't know what she wants, but she knows what she doesn't want. Gue banget deh!! Wew...

When viewing paintings in an art gallery, a Spaniard wearing red shirt caught Cristina's eyes. Apparently, he was a painter whose marriage and then divorce were the talk of town. His name was Juan Antonio. Later that night, the two girls went to have dinner in restaurant, and Juan Antonio was there too. He stood and approached their table, than offered a wild proposition, wild according to Vicky, hahah. He invited them to come spending the weekend with him in Oviedo, which was only a short flight from Barcelona. And he also proposed that they might eventually have sex that weekend. Vicky opposed hard, and Cristina, being what she was, of course wanted to come. At last they went by Juan Antonio's friend's private plane.

They stayed at a hotel. The first day was spent sightseeing. The town was beautiful. But not until at night the subject of making love surfaced again. Anyways, Vicky excused herself, and Cristina went to his room. They started kissing, but then she got ill. Apparently, she got ulcer problem as well as food poisoning. She had to rest. So the next day, it was only Vicky and Juan Antonio. She kept up her guard, but at last, they made love that night. Tweww... On their flight back, Vicky was silent while Cristina kept apologizing and voiced her worry about Vicky and Juan Antonio at each other's throats. Which, we know didn't happen. :p

After that passed, Juan Antonio called Cristina and asked her out. She was ecstatic. They went wine tasting, and from there went back to his house. They of course made love, and from then on, it all was heaven for them both. He asked her to move in with him. She complied, and they lived blissfully until the phone rang one night. Maria Elena, Juan Antonio's ex wife had tried to kill herself, again. So he went to take care of it, and he took her home with him. There were complications and fights at first, but the three of them reconciled, and believe it or not, they become lovers. A threesome.

Wow, this is really a spoiler, eh? Hehee... Sorry. Okay, I won't tell again. Suffice it to say that, oops... Sorry, I won't tell. I won't. Just watch the movie. I recommend it. Alright? Just to tip you off, Miss Johansson was sexy in this movie (well, she always has been, and I'm not a lesbian), Miss Hall was kinda stiff, but Mr Bardem, aaaah... Javier Bardem is my new favorite male. Hihiiiy...

Overall, I give 8,5 points for this movie. Welldone, Mr Allen.

Benci Disko

Nonton Benci Disko. Jadi iseng pergi nonton deh. Tapi ya maklum aja, bioskop daerah pinggiran, jadi Wolverine sana Angels & Demons belum main disitu deh.

Emang cukup menghibur kok. Sepanjang film gue dibuat ketawa terus. Tora konyol seperti biasa, gak beda jauh gayanya sama di Extravaganza. Vincent, atapilooh... Cantik banget tu orang jadi banci! Langsing, putih, bibirnya juga cantik gitu. Kampreeet, masa gue yang cewek tulen kalah cantik ma dia. Hikss... Adik cewek mereka, gue lupa namanya, ngomongnya jawir banget. Emang dari Jogja kalo gak salah. Yang jadi bokap mereka Denny Malik. Hihiks... Jadi kayak gabungan JJS ama Saturday Night Fever. Ihhh...

Paraaah... Trus Tora yang menang, and they live happily ever after, Cih...

Knowing

Last week I watched the movie Knowing, starred by Nicholas Cage and Rose Byrne. It was thrilling from the beginning, keeping us glued to the seats. My right arm's blood circulation was cut by Kunti's grip. I could feel Menik tensed on my left side every time there's a scary scene. I didn't know whether it was a horror flick or a thriller or what. The idea was quite good. A whole page of mysterious numbers which when at last were encoded were of dates and coordinates of disasters. A girl hears whispering (of aliens) and she wrote those codes on a piece of paper which then was kept on a capsule, to be opened 50 years later. She was like a schizophrenic, sometimes catatonic, a little scary sometimes, scratching her nails on  the surface of a door to carve those numbers.

Fifty years later, the capsule was opened, and there's this kid who got her paper fully written with numbers. By coincidence or not, he also could hear whisperings. When they got too loud, he just took off his hearing-aid. His dad was a lecturer in MIT. He had lost his wife in a fire, and took solace in alcohol. One thing led to another, he then tried to decode those numbers, and found out that those were dates of disasters that had happened in the last 50 years plus the numbers of victims died in those disasters. And when he realized that one of those dates were of his wife's death, he got angry, thinking if someone had decoded those numbers way earlier, those disasters would have been able to be prevented. *Jaaah, panjang amat kalimatnya ye?*

So it went that he tried to save the word. Or solve the mystery around it and what happened to his son. Anyways, couldn't save anyone from the end of the world. And his son and the granddaughter of said girl who wrote those numbers were the only ones who will be safe. They were taken by space ship and taken to another planet. The last scene were of them in a beautiful field, only the two of them, and then zoomed on a tree. And it made us think about that scene of Adam and Eve and the Tree. It's like the beginning of life. Life is a circle, and they were back to the starting point.

It may be cool at the start, but I just didn't like the ending much. Too weird for me. Plain weird. The combination of aliens, whispering, action, then recycle of Adam and Eve were just weird. Period. But at least it was still thrilling. Seven points overall. Three points for the ending.

Seven Pounds and Push

Today, I watched Seven Pounds and Push. Both were good movies. Seven Pounds, starred by Will Smith and Rosario Dawson, tells about Tim Thomas, a rocket/aeronautics scientist conning as an IRS agent. He took the credentials of his brother, Ben, who was the real IRS agent. He didn't actually con his target with bad intentions. On the contrary, he was testing them to know whether they were good persons and deemed worthy of his organs donations. The plot was a bit slow, but still it still managed to stir my curiosity and kept me in my seat. Overall, I give it an 8.

Push is lighter and full of psychic actions. Interestingly, it reminded me of the Heroes series, just in a less complicated version. Kinda like having a part of Heroes and a part of Pretender. But I like it. Dakota Fanning has been my favorite actress since she was still a small child. She's a genius in acting. Her role in Push is as a Watcher who can see the future. But the future can change, depending on the actions and circumstances of the people involved. Together with Nick the Mover, Kira the Pusher, and a few other psychics, they fought against a government agency who had developed a drug that could enhance their power but at the same time having a fatal effect. Find out about it in their website.

Ciao...

Valkyrie

Semalem nonton Valkyrie di XXI Senayan City. Sebenernya rada males siy nontonnya, secara gue rada anti-Tom Cruise. Tapi demi menjaga kelancaran persahabatan, halah, jadilah gue nurut aja waktu Kunti bilang suaminya pengen nonton film itu.

Based on true story, I've read about it back when I was a child. See, my dad had a set of encyclopedia. And that was my source of enjoyment, *what the fuck??*, if I ran out of money to buy new comics and novels. And I was an action novels' buff back then. I read Alistair MacLean, Jack Higgins, Frederick Forsythe, John LeCarre, etc. So, watching Valkyrie was like watching an alinea in Nazi history in pictures. It's all familiar to me. But when Kunti kept voicing her questions, or to be more exact, her expectation, on what should naturally happens in the movie, I was kinda flabbergasted. Come on, doesn't she know that Hitler died by committing suicide? The bottom line is, there's no way there's a happy ending as expected for the heroes in this movie. I remember reading about Stauffenberg in that encyclopedia. I remember reading about Himmler, Goebbels, the SS, the U-boats, Blitzkrieg, all the names that was connected to that period of history. I just can't recall it all in my mind. Hehee... I'm not meaning to sound arrogant, but for Pete's sake, EVERYONE knows about Hitler. Right? Riiight???

The plot was fast. Overall it's a good movie. But I just can't fully enjoyed it due to my antagonism toward Mr Cruise. But I know I respect Stauffenberg, even when I read about him when I was a kid. He's like a romantic hero to me. Weird, I know.

Transporter 3

I just got back from the cineplex. Watched Transporter 3. Can't say I like it that much. I expected it to be better than the first and second installments, but it turned out to be worse. I anticipated cool actions, more cars screeching, more martial arts, I expected it to be totally action-packed. Too much rules broken by the Transporter, too many romantic scenes, it's so un-Transporter. So un-Frank Martin. Sigh...

Disappointed much? Not really. It's quite entertaining. The only problem is the movie doesn't live up to my expectation. Damn!!

Here are the movies I want to watch:
  • Eagle Eye
  • The Day The Earth Stood Still
  • The X-Files
A short list, but I hope they're all better than Transporter 3. So sorry, Mr Besson. But I'm still a big fan of yours... :)
