Going back and forth both offices without actually doing anything. Not exactly like that, but after being all hectic for the last three weeks, this week feels like an anticlimax. But still I can't take time off to see my best friends. Shit, eh?

I miss them. We met at Kucil's engagement party. But it's only for a short time as we all already had agendas. Menik was meeting her new closest guy friend, Kucil of course needed to be home with her family, Kunti was having mild fever, and I was tired. Anyways, what kind of agendas was that? Blo'on lo, Ngal!!

I wanted to write about Kucil's story again, but I simply not in the mood now. Maybe next time. *Promises, promises...* But to make it short, she finally made the decision to go on with her guy after all. And now they're engaged. I'm happy for her. Congratulations, Kucil.

06082009, 09:55 am

Spent two thirds of yesterday at home, just lazying on my bed and watching movies. Playing with Bangbag. Dozing until afternoon. Then Batman called and woke me up from my slumber *halahh*. We agreed to meet at Citos. He wanted to look for a black jacket. We searched around Matahari, but couldn't find anything that even remotely similar to what we're looking for.

Then we hopped to Poins and started searching again. Sebenernya siy kita udah kayak orang bingung. Jalan gak jelas. Mau cabut, tapi kok kayaknya masih nanggung. Belum juga malem banget. Mau karaoke, tapi lagi gak mood. And I know he's still not feeling well. At last, we decided to go home after all. In the taxi, I persuaded him to go to the doctor, and at last he agreed. We went to a clinic in Cinere area. Ternyata dokternya bilang Batman kena tipus. Life's a hell for you at this moment, ya? Hang in there, man. I pray you'll get well soon, and to have a better situation. Amen.

I went to the reunion of my junior high class at a cafĂ© in South Jakarta. I’m sorry to say that I couldn’t recognize any of my old friends saved for a few persons. I even didn’t remember one of my quite close friends back then. Damn... They all looked so different. Many of the girls were wearing hijabs, and one ar two chicks were dressed like sluts. And the boys… Well, I mean guys, they also were so different. I knew Yoyo because I met him last year when I was with my brother, and he worked for a financial institution which had my brother’s office as its client. There were also DC and Baldy. I knew them instantly because we went to the same elementary school. And I gotta say because DC had been my first boyfriend. :p

I didn’t mingle much. I wasn’t really in the mood. I never like school reunions. It pisses me off when I couldn’t place someone’s face, then he/she would say, ‘Don’t you remember me? How could you?’ How should I react to that, dammit? I think we all should wear nametags to save the embarrassment of not remembering everyone’s names.

Right. I hadn’t been an outgoing person. So sue me… I didn’t talk much back in school days. At least in junior high. Reminiscing, junior high years were almost forgotten. I don’t have striking memories of it. I just breezed through those years. I couldn’t even be sure of who my best friends were back in those days. Crazy, huh? But what’s even weirder was that almost all of them remembered me! Did it mean that I didn’t change much, or that I have bad memory?

I didn’t have anything to talk about. I didn’t have any memories to share. I just listened to them, laughed at the right times, staring at some persons trying to remember them. All to no avail. It’s all hazy. I was like in another dimension. I guess I took the wrong decision to come to the reunion. And there’s gonna be another one next month. I hope it coincides with an event so I’ll have a legit reason not to come. :D

R.I.P. David Carradine

I was surprised reading that David Carradine passed away in Thailand today. A maid found him in a hotel room's closet, and apparently he died by hanging himself. It just seemed a waste. Mr Carradine who recently kinda mirrored his life as the one he portraited in the Kung Fu series, just threw his life like that. Until now, there's still no clue as to why he did it.

I grew up watching classic TV series. One of them is Kung Fu. There were great morals to be learned from this series. There was also the sequel, Kung Fu: The Legend Continues. I know it's all cliche now, but it was so cool way back then. And it was also the moment of eastern teachings and stuff. So many movies and series had similar theme. Kung Fu, Street Justice, Best of The Best, Karate Kid, Excessive Force, and so many more. But The Kung Fu series is the most memorable for me. Even then, I knew it was gonna be a classic.

Mr Carradine played as Kwai Chang Caine, a man raised by shaolins in China. He killed a royal family member as a revenge because that guy killed Caine's teacher. He then had to fled China, away and he arrived in the western world known as America. :D
He encountered many injustices and attempted to fix it using his eastern wisdom taught to him. And when it all was still insufficient, the Kung Fu played. And so the story goes. Until now, whenever I hear 'David Carradine', 'Kung Fu series', 'Kwai Chang Caine', there will appear in my head the image of brown dust or soil, brown shaolin's clothes, and his Buddha-like calmness waiting for he enemies to attack. So cool. Hehee...

The last time I saw Mr Carradine in a movie was when I watched Kill Bill. His role here is the antithesis of Kwai Chang Caine. And he was nominated as Best Supporting Actor in The Golden Globe.

Oh well, whatever your reasons were, you're still a hero for me. Mr Carradine, may you rest in peace now. Amen.

Rocksteady - Remy Shand

Here's the lyrics of one of my favorite songs ever. Too bad, I didn't have time to find the clip.

ROCKSTEADY - Remy Shand

Tell me how, baby, could it open my eyes
For a night, it took me by surprise
Oh what you said to me

Love me do
Whatever you want back darlin won’t be good
That is why I woke and cried out

Rocksteady can’t break my world
Nobody’s gonna ever think twice
Oh how I, how I often cry
Rocksteady can’t can’t make that change
Nobody’s ever gonna re-arrange
As time moves slippin’ fast
Love just won’t become you

Now my mind baby
My mind is free
Oh you played it hard lady
So hard and deep
Oh what you said to me

Love me do
Whatever you want back darlin won’t be good
That is why I woke and cried out

Rocksteady can’t break my world
Nobody’s gonna ever think twice
Oh how I, how I often cry
Rocksteady can’t can’t make that change
Nobody’s ever gonna re-arrange
As time moves slippin’ fast
Love just won’t become you

I miss Remy Shand's songs. He has unique and oh so smooth voice. Added to that, the melody and music are just awesome!! My favorite song is ROCKSTEADY. I can't describe it with words. It just so perfect. Sadly, I don't have any cassette or CD of him. I couldn't even find the clip on Youtube *Sigh*.

Dammit!! Where are you, Mr Shand??????

06022009, 11:15 am

Still very tired, but at least better than yesterday. I took Sangobion, Bloodcare, and Ester C to regain my condition. And I think it's going to work. Because I feel more fit, while the other guys were all still tepar. Hehee...

Well, just sleep it off, guys. You'll be better by tomorrow.

Cheers,

Bidadari Bengal

Bidadari Bengal & Batman Reunited

Gue gak percaya!! Asli aneh!! Maaasaaaa, pas event luar kota kemaren, gue n Batman dapet celah mulu tiap malam!! Cihiiiy... :p

Semua yang last minute digeber gitu deh. Sempet rehat bentar, duduk ngopi di depan tenda sama Batman dan Bang Ian, sound engineer kita. Orangnya guede banget. Tapi hatinya rinto. Hihiy. Kayak teddy bear gitu pokoknya. Trus sempt ada tante2 janda kenalan Batman disana dateng, pegang2 Batman. Cih!! Trus Batman pura2 berdiri, kursinya langsung diembat sama Boty. Eh, Batman malah ngegeser gue, jadinya kita duduk satu kursi berdua. Nekat banget!! Gak mempan, CrewCut dideketin ma Tante Janda. Ma dia ya kesempatanlah. Ceritanya rangkulan akrab gitu, tapi secara gue tau CrewCut ye, pasti dia tangannya gerayangan deh. Pantesan aja si Tante Janda itu mukanya seneng banget. Wew...

Huh.

Selamaaat... Huahahahaha... Badung banget deh.

Besoknya hari pertama event. Gue kesana deh. Celah lagi!! Wkwkwkwkwkwkwkwk...

Event yang memorable buat gue. And you know why. :p
