Arrived in Bali

Bidadari Bengal is on the loose in Bali! Ohohoho... Gak sabar ngubek2 Bali dan yang pasti have fun disini. Bakal touring rame2 naik motor. Yang penting buat gue cuma gue kepengen di dalem air! Mo berenang, di kolam dan di pantai. Pengen ngabisin waktu sebebas2nya siy sebenarnya. Tapi kalo yang kayak gini musti pergi sendiri deh kayaknya. Gak rame2 dan tergantung rundown gini. Tapi yang penting bisa bikin memori disini ya. Horeee...

Tampur Gak Penting

Akhirnya jadi juga pergi ke Tampur. Mana gak sempet ke ATM, jadi gak bawa duit juga. Tapi bagus deh, jadi duitnya masih ada buat ntar di Bali. Di Tampur gue cuma beli sendal jepit sama kacamata hitam. Keren2 pula. Dan total cuma keluar duit 40 ribu perak. Itu juga musti ditambahain goceng sama Boss Man karena duit gue kurang. Hihii...

Sebenernya siy gue cuma mau nemenin Boty ke Tampur karena dua mau cari sendal GEOX buat dipake jalan ke Bali. Eh, si Boss denger. Dia langsung berisik minta ikut. Huahaha. Dasar bos sableng. Lumayan puas keliling Tampur biarpun gak bawa uang. :D

This one is a krazy movie. No wonder as Quentin Tarantino was the director. One really weird guy. I don't want to tell you the plot. But there's a scene that I like most. he scene where the Basterds had to disguise as Italians. Wkwkwkwk... Watch that one scene! Krazy aje dah!

Starbucking with New Friends

I'm at Starbucks PS with these funny guys who are the personnels of a band. They just started to rise up in the industry, and I hope they'll make it. They're actually great, I love their music. The songs are potential.

We're talking about their band, our lives, and our dogs. Haha. The manager is a dog lover, so he seems enthralled by my dogs' stories. Originally from Bandung, they are kinda still adjusting with life in Jakarta. This is their first time in PS which made me shocked when they told me that. And when I asked which place they want most to visit, my God, this is freakin cliché, their answer is: the RAGUNAN ZOO!!! *laughing hysterically*

Right, the next time we hang out, I'll take them somewhere they've never been. At the moment, I'll just enjoy their somewhat cute and naive stories. *very much entertained* :p

Enjoying today by indulging myself. Woke up at 6 with a craving of being in the water. So I decided to go swimming. A little incident when Bangbag wouldn't let me go. So I played with her. I could never refuse you, baby. You're my world. Haha... So I ended up leaving the house at 7. I thought there wouldn't be so many people swimming at that hour, but it was crowded/ It turned out that there's a swimming course for children. Yaaaahhh... Kolamnya penuh kecebong deh... Untung gue berhasil ambil celah di bagian yang dalem, biarpun rada rebutan sama orang, at least keinginan gue untuk berenang tercapai.

Setelah berenang gue gak langsung pulang. Laper niy ceritanya, dan gue penasaran kepengen ke TRS Diner. Jadilah gue sarapan disana. Cuman pesen omelet sih, tapi kenyang juga. Secara sidesnya ada hash brown, baked beans, n toast. Enak kok, cuma baked beansnya aja rada ajaib rasanya. Next time gue mungkin mau coba pancake ato french toastnya.

Kelar itu gue nyalon di Lutuye. Cuma cuci blow aja sih, tapi bayarnya kayak kalo krimbat plus blow plus refleksi di salon langganan gue. Mang beda kasta ya tempatnya. Hehee... Untung hasil blownya lumayan. Masih bagusan tempat langganan gue sih, niarpun jauh lebih murah. :p

Lumayan juga hari ini. Manjain diri sampe tengah hari. Trus pulang dan manjain Lil Bangbag deh. *Countless kisses and hugs for Bangbag*.

The proposal was ready, printed, bound, and delivered. Thank you thank you thank you!! Now I can breathe and enjoy my weekend. Huhuuy... But... *Why is there always a 'but'?* But there's another new one still needed to be worked on. And we need to deliver it next Tuesday. Hah! Shoot!

Yeah, whatever. This is weekend, and I'm gonna enjoy tonight with Menik and Kucil, and hopefully with Mama too. So sorry, guys. I wasn't available these past few days. Hehee. But now I'm free. And I'M HUNGRY!! I haven't eaten since morning. Only about a quarter portion of Boss Lady's chop suey for lunch. Trust me, it's really a tiny portion.

Abu Rokok Bego!

Satu hal yang gue gak tahan kalo lagi meeting di kantor: ASAP ROKOK.

Dan bisa dibilang tiap pagi ada meeting di kantor. Rokok yang dihisap para penghuni kantor: 234 Kretek, Sampoerna Mild Menthol, Djarum Super, and U Mild. The combination of so many cigarette brands' smoke would certainly drive anyone crazy. Well, surely they're not affected, at all. But moi... Tersiksa euuy!!

Trus karena kantor gue rada terbuka gitu ruangannya, jadi gak pake AC. Kipas angin aja digeber terus. Dan walhasil, itu abu rokok dengan merdeka beterbangan dan nemplok sembarangan di baju gue, rambut gue, MAKANAN gue, njiiiing!!! Ngeselin! Tadi aja si Grandpa duduk di samping gue, dan gak sadar kalo abu rokok kreteknya itu berarakan dan terbang ke gue. Sama sekali gak sadar. Dan sama sekali gak peduli. Begitu juga yang lain. Beberapa orang seperti CrewCut dan Doyok masih agak tanggap kalo gue udah ngasih kode ngibas2 tangan ato bersihin baju. Tapi yang lain, bodo amat cuuuy... Tancap aja terus. Huh!! Gobloooggg!!!

At the moment, I read many Javanese historical novels. Last night I just finished Jaka Tingkir. And I started on Sanggrama Wijaya this morning. But no matter how many times I tried to visualise how those people lived many centuries ago, I can't. Well, sure I got the idea, but what I mean is I won't be able to emulate their way of life. Imagine, no BlackBerries, no internet, no Twitter, no Facebook. My God. Fine, that's kinda over the top, yeah? Let's just imagine life without personal showers, or bathtub as we know it. Or how about public transportations. Or motorcycles, and all other today's conveniences. *Biting fingers*

Hell no!How would you toast your breads perfectly if there were no toasters? And slather the fresh-from-the-fridge-butter. And top it off with the also fresh-from-the-fridge fruit jams. And instant coffee. And tea bags. And low calorie sugar. Then have your drink easily from a water dispenser. How about cooking with a gas stove. You don't need to chop wood for cooking. Then washing the utensils in the sinks using tap water. When you're done with house chores, you drive your car to the mall, the place where you can find everything. Whether it's for grocery shopping, buying new outfits, repairing your diamond encrusted watch, or just to sip your favorite gourmet coffee while browsing with your notebook. And not to forget is the existence of Facebook, Netlog, MySpace, and all those networking tools. Chatting with your friend or family who are on the other side of the world with just taps of your fingers on the keyboard. Oh, I forgot. You don't need those big laptop anymore as there are already the beautiful things called BlackBerries and i-Phones. Sheesh... I love my world! :p

Tadi gempa lagi. Pusatnya 42 km dari Ujung Kulon, kedalaman 10 km. 16.52 wib. Semoga tidak ada korban jiwa, ya Allah. Amin.

Pas gempa itu gue lagi ngetik di komputer. Tau2 berasa goyang, gue langsung mikir gempa lagi niy. Tapi menolak untuk panik, gue cek dulu, jangan2 CrewCut yang iseng goyangin kursi gue. Eh ternyata dia gak ada di kursinya. Dan goyangan itu masih terus ada. Langsung aja gue teriakin anak2, 'GEMPA, WOYY!'

A Convenient Bidadari Bengal

Alkisah (caelah), ada seorang wanita yang berusia 30 tahun tapi tidak mempunyai cita2. Or at least that's how it seemed. Her life revolves around works and best friends and her little niece. She never tried to find a proper boyfriend and setting a target to be married. She thinks she'd only consider marriage of convenience so if both party can keep their bargain, it'll be a good life. And certainly it would shut everyone's mouths. Hah! So far, there's no eligible guy who has a same vision as this woman.

She still misses her Batman. And still prays for him. Who says Bidadari Bengal is incapable of love? She's just a believer in anything of convenience now, her own convenience to be exact. Teehee...

Bali is Planned

Found out that we're gonna hold our company gathering, and we're going to Bali! Yippee!!! The decision was made insanely quick. One minute we were still talking about a possible location for a client's event in Lembang area, the next minute the boss said we were going to Bali. When he said that, we all assume the trip would be on January since we have many events going on October through December. The only available week was the end of this month, and the boss' wife wanted to go as earlier as possible. So there, we're going in 2 weeks. Yesterday afternoon Boss Lady paid for 42 return tickets, so there's no reason for us to cancel this trip. Come hell or high water, we're going! Awesome!!

The only downside for now, we still don't know where to stay there. Still looking for budget accommodation in Kuta area. Hihii... Worse come to worst, we might just stay at those little cheap places at Poppies Lane. If we all must have separate hotels, so be it. What's important is we're going to Bali. :D

And the most awaited moment: stealing time with CrewCut! Wonder if it's possible. *Wink*

Tiny Update On My Physical Life

Menik asked me why I never wrote about my love slash sex life anymore. Well, it's because there's nothing to tell. Zilch. Nada. Pathetic, isn't it? LOL.

Right, so it's not exactly non-existent. More like there's not enough to tell. Only little touches and light kisses when no one were around. Oh, and also my arms around him on our way to and from work. And little naughty touches to the nipples and crotch when it's dark and no one could see. Hmm, I'm still a slut, apparently. :p

But the bottom line is we've had no chance whatsoever to go all the way again since oh I don't know, August I think. Kinda hoping it would be soon. I need someone, him, soon. Better be semi monogamous now, right? Teehee...

Got A New Pair of Glasses

I have a new pair of glasses. I gotta say, I do look so much smarter. Ahahaha. Note the word 'look'. :p

I always prefer to wear contacts, but I can't use it when I'm swimming and stuff, right? So I need to make a new pair of glasses, just in case I need to preserve my lenses. Hehee... Many of my mates say that I look better with glasses. Which is exactly the opposite of my thinking. But the compliments were very uplifting. Thanks, people. *Grins*

Kerokan Terdahsyat

Gokiiiil!! Kemaren gue ke salon seharian. Mantaaap. Krimbat, manicure, refleksi, scrub punggung, ear spa, and massage. Kalo pedicurenya siy udah pas kena giliran mati lampu di kantor hari Kamis kemaren. Hehee...

Dari jam 10an gue udah berasa ada bibit2 migrain. Dan bener aja, makin lama makin kenceng pusingnya. Krimbat dan pijat refleksi gak ngefek ngurangin tuh migren. Akhirnya sekalian aja gue minta massage. Mbaknya bilang, 'Mbak masuk angin ya? Ini saya cuman pijit gini aja kok punggungnya langsung merah. Saya kerokin aja ya?'

Gue jawab langsung, 'Mau mbak, tapi jangan keras2 ya ngerokinnya.'

Emang gak keras ngeroknya. Malah tarikannya pun slow gitu. Dan teratur. Dan rapat. Dan total. Sumpah, setelah dikerok, punggung gue jadi kayak kursi rotan warna merah tua. NGERI!! Sampe rumah gue kasih liat ke kakak ipar gue. Dia sampe langsung buang muka gitu saking ngerinya. Gue langsung dikasih obat dan disuruh langsung tidur. Just what I needed actually, sih. Hehe. Thanks, sis. :)

Tapi gue yakin, kerokan ini gak bakal terlupakan seumur hidup gue. Hiks...

Yankee's Dinner Party

Last night was our last moment being together, the main personnel of Yankee's Family, before Kucil's getting married. We had dinner at Raja Rasa in Ampera Street. It was a good place. A bit upscale, but it's worthy, though.

We already bought a present for Kucil last Saturday. A set of lingerie. Hehee... And Mama wrapped it up in a beautiful box. Last night, Mama and Menik also bought a nice card to accompany our gift for Kucil. We personalized it by writing each of our own lines for her. And a little jokes in the names. *Right, Ontohot?* :p

I'm taking a minute in between meetings. What a day! Started the first meeting at 9.30 am. And another one just after lunch. And now getting ready to go to our client. There's a wedding invitation tonight. And I already promised to go to Kucil's hen party with Mama and Menik. Moreover, I'm positively sure there's gonna be another internal meeting when we get back from our client. Freakin' full day! Help!

I Love Rains!

Rain!! I love rain, well, most of the time anyway. I only don't like rains when I have somewhere to go and when I'm mobile. But other than those, i love rain. I love the smell of rain. I love the coolness. I love being in the rain. I love being wet. Aaahh, the freedom!!

The feeling might turn mellow, but I still love it anyway. It's romantic, lovely, and cleansing too. The sound of rain could turn me to sleep. The sound of rain is like a lullaby. But it would be a sound sleep. You'd feel well-rested after that. After a nice rain, you'd also feel cleansed. Ready to start a new life.

I missed dancing in the rain. If only there's no one else here, I'd have gone barefoot outside in the pouring rain. After that, took a bath, change clothes, and have a hot cocoa. I wish... Tapi takut sakit juga siy. Xixixixi...

Happy Batik Day!

Hari ini, tanggal 2 Oktober 2009, UNESCO menetapkan Batik Indonesia sebagai Warisan Budaya Dunia. Sejak beberapa waktu lalu sudah beredar ajakan di Twitter, Facebook, Blog, dan berbagai media lain untuk mengenakan batik pada hari ini yang kebetulan juga merupakan hari Jumat. Sebenarnya sudah cukup lama hari Jumat ditetapkan sebagai hari batik di Indonesia. Cuma untuk hari ini rasanya benar2 spesial karena tepat hari ini Batik Indonesia diakui sebagai warisan dunia. Manapula sebelumnya sudah sempat gontok2an gara2 Malaysia juga menyatakan batik sebagai budaya asli mereka.

Dengan begini, rasanya seperti mendapat kemenangan deh. Biarpun memang sudah sejak dulu batik tuh milik Indonesia. Cuma gara2 ada yang namanya entah hak paten dan lain2 itu, sehingga siapa cepat bisa mengakui sesuatu sebagai miliknya, jadi sering ricuh deh. Seperti tempe, ukiran Jepara, ukiran Bali, dll waktu itu. Heuh...

Turut berduka cita bagi para korban gempa di Sumatera Barat hari Rabu tanggal 30 September 2009, pukul 17:16 wib.

Gempa berkekuatan 7,6 SR ini telah memakan lebih dari 200 korban jiwa hingga saat ini dan ribuan lainnya yang masih belum diketahui nasibnya. Jalur komunikasi masih terputus kecuali bagi yang menggunakan XL dan Axis. Komunikasi dengan menggunakan BlackBerry juga masih bisa dilakukan.
