Seven Pounds and Push

Today, I watched Seven Pounds and Push. Both were good movies. Seven Pounds, starred by Will Smith and Rosario Dawson, tells about Tim Thomas, a rocket/aeronautics scientist conning as an IRS agent. He took the credentials of his brother, Ben, who was the real IRS agent. He didn't actually con his target with bad intentions. On the contrary, he was testing them to know whether they were good persons and deemed worthy of his organs donations. The plot was a bit slow, but still it still managed to stir my curiosity and kept me in my seat. Overall, I give it an 8.

Push is lighter and full of psychic actions. Interestingly, it reminded me of the Heroes series, just in a less complicated version. Kinda like having a part of Heroes and a part of Pretender. But I like it. Dakota Fanning has been my favorite actress since she was still a small child. She's a genius in acting. Her role in Push is as a Watcher who can see the future. But the future can change, depending on the actions and circumstances of the people involved. Together with Nick the Mover, Kira the Pusher, and a few other psychics, they fought against a government agency who had developed a drug that could enhance their power but at the same time having a fatal effect. Find out about it in their website.
